The number of Steam accounts has exceeded 1 billion

This is written by the publication PCGamesN. The number of store accounts was estimated by numbering in Steam ID. The billionth account was registered the day before yesterday, on April 28.

This does not mean that the Steam audience has exceeded 1 billion users. First, the same user can create multiple accounts. Secondly, an already established account may be inactive or even be a bot.

Note that Steam’s MAU is more than 90 million users (as of January this year).
