The share of children’s expenses in the global mobile games market will amount to 7.8% or $1.9 billion in 2015,” the American research company Superdata said in the framework of Casual Connect USA 2015.
In the USA, the share will be higher – 9.3%: expected revenue – $417 million.
Most of the revenue – $273 million – will be generated by shareware games. Moreover, most of them will be taken over by those free-to-play projects that are not intended exclusively for children. Of the mentioned amount, they will earn $211 million. Under the shareware model, the subscription will still have $31 million. An additional $44 million will bring IAP from paid applications. The remaining $100 million will be earned by direct purchase of paid applications.
Out of curiosity: in total, according to analysts, the mobile games market will earn a solid sum of $24.1 billion by the end of this year.
