There have been layoffs at the Capcom Vancouver studio. The company confirmed the reduction of 30% of the staff, explaining this by restructuring the business.

According to Destructoid, the remaining employees will continue working on the studio’s flagship series, the zombie action game Dead Rising, as well as on the Puzzle Fighter mobile game.

The Kotaku publication, citing a source inside the studio, estimated the number of dismissed Capcom Vancouver employees at around 50 people.

The source also informed Kotaku about Capcom’s intention to reduce the amount of resources allocated to create a new part of Dead Rising.
