How to work with investors and your own IP is described in a new document by the British Banking Association.

We are periodically asked how to get money for the development and promotion of the game from investors.

The only answer that comes to our mind at such moments is to make a cool game. Another thing is that this is not always enough. Working with potential investors, to put it mildly, is no less a difficult task than, for example, PR and sales, which not only require appropriate knowledge, but also often of an appropriate nature (an introvert PR person – is this even possible?).

The situation does not get any easier from the fact that there are few theories on finding sources of financing, or rather, there are almost none.

The British Banking Association decided to somehow fix the situation by posting on its website Better Business Finance, which was originally designed to help small companies in introducing the IP Finance Toolkit to the financial topic.

As our colleagues from Develop write, the guide reveals which investment paths are open to creative companies, what banks, business angels and financial market specialists can offer them today.

The material also contains tips on how to prepare a good pitch, a business plan, when to ask for money and how to work with IP.

The guide is primarily intended for British citizens, but if there is a desire to really deal with the “seed” topic, it can still be very useful.

The document can be found here.
