The authors of the three-in-a-row “Watchmaker” announced the joining of the mobile studio Leda Games. The most famous project of the latter is the three—in-a-row “Knitted Story” with more than 500 thousand installations on Google Play.
As stated on the official Belka Games Facebook page, now both studios are one team. Despite this, the attached staff — just under ten people — will work on their own separate project. The head will also be the same — Ekaterina Chovzhik.
We are glad to have the opportunity to make a project as part of a company that has a very strong expertise in the development and promotion of mobile games. It is very interesting for us to become part of a large and well-coordinated team. We see great prospects in our cooperation and integration.

In Belka Games, the takeover is explained by the desire to increase their own portfolio of projects.
We consider joining the Leda Games team as a great opportunity to launch another game in production. Leda Games has a well-formed core of professionals with products already available in the portfolio. It is important to us that the guys know how to develop games, are technically savvy. For our part, we will add expertise in game design, marketing and help with production. So Belka plans to strengthen its presence in the mobile market with another high-quality and successful product in the future.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
At the moment, Belka Games itself is being significantly rebuilt. Its new top management, headed by Alexander Bogdanov, who previously launched Social Quantum, Game Insight and Playrix divisions in St. Petersburg, is building new processes in it that are designed to turn Belka into a “large, successful and high-tech company.”
