Danish developer IO Interactive has opened a new studio. It is located in the Swedish city of Malmo, writes Rock Paper Shotgun.

The Swedish division has already started work.
Its tasks include supporting the Hitman series, as reported by Executive Director Hakan Abrak. From his words, it can also be concluded that IO Interactive will attract a team from Malmo to create new franchises.
Now we will have more opportunities to create completely new, exciting projects, new universes, new franchises.

The developer’s head office is still located in Copenhagen.
Recall that in 2009-2017 IO Interactive belonged to the Japanese Square Enix. Then the company was bought from the publisher by its own top managers. Having regained her independence, she retained the Hitman IP and released a new part, Hitman 2, in November last year.
