The creator of the GameMaker Studio game engine franchise, YoYo Games, has opened its own publishing division. They intend to release games by independent developers created with the help of GameMaker Studio products.
YoYo Games publishing house will be headed by Chris Trewartha, who previously worked as a senior producer at Outplay Entertainment (Mystery Match, Alien Creeps and other games).
The head of YoYo Games, James Cox, noted that the publishing house’s partners can count on commercial expertise, technical support in working with the GameMaker platform and investments.
According to Chris Trevarta, YoYo Games expects to create a portfolio of games that “stand out from the crowd thanks to ideas, design and mechanics.”
YoYo plans to release the first games this fall.
