The recently acquired Microsoft gaming studio Playground Games has hired six experienced developers who previously worked in large companies. All of them will be working on some new PRG — apparently, on Fable IV.
The studio, in particular, was joined by:
- Environment designer Scotty Brown (worked on Star Wars Battlefront II for EA Motive);
- environment designer Noel Lukashevich (worked on the Mass Effect series for BioWare);
- Narrative designer Martin Lancaster (worked on Batman: Arkham Knight for Rocksteady Studios);
- Animator Chris Goodall (worked on Hellblade for Ninja Theory);
- Technical specialist Rob den Dekker (worked on the Fable series for Lionheart);
- interface designer Joe McKernan (worked on Destiny 2 for Bungie).
New employees of Playground Games
Almost nothing is officially known about the new project, which will employ such an impressive team, except that it will be an open-world role-playing game.
However, Eurogamer sources claim that this will be the fourth installment of the Fable series.
Since Playground Games became one of the four studios bought by Microsoft in the summer, it can be assumed that the game will be exclusive to Xbox One and Windows.
