Game designer Cliff Bleszinski promised to tell the story of the failure of the Boss Key Production studio he founded in his autobiography, which he is currently working on. The creator of the Gears of War game franchise wrote about this on Twitter.

According to Blesinski, the failure with Boss Key hurt him very deeply.

«Мне тяжело об этом рассказывать. Тяжелее, чем я пережил смерть племянника и крушение первого брака», — говорится в первых строках главы «Boss Key», фото которой Клифф выложил в

He also said that he did not answer journalists’ questions and did not publicly comment on the closure of the studio in order to comprehend and fully tell this story on his own behalf.

LawBreakers was founded by Cliff Blesinski in 2014. The first project of the studio was the heroic online shooter LawBreakers, released in 2017. The game received good press reviews, but was unable to gain enough users and is currently preparing for closure, although its servers are still active.

The company was supposed to be saved by the Radical Heights “battle royale”, which was released in early Steam access this spring. However, the product turned out to be raw and could not take any significant place in the online action movie market, which by that time was dominated by such giants as PUBG and Fortnite. After two failures in a row, Blesinski announced the dissolution of Boss Key Production and the temporary departure from game Dev.
