A message about this appeared on Fortnite’s official Twitter account.
“UPDATE: Apple previously stated that it would discontinue support for “Login with Apple” for Epic Games accounts after September 11, 2020, but today granted an indefinite extension,” the developers write. “We still recommend that you prepare for the potential removal of the option.”
Epic has also kept a step-by-step guide on the site for players who do not want to lose access to accounts in the future. An account is required to log in to both the Epic Games Store and Fortnite.
At the same time, in an interview with The Verge, Apple noted that it was not going to interfere with the operation of the option, and players can safely and safely continue to log into Epic accounts via Apple ID.
The next court hearing in the Epic and Apple case will take place on September 28. At the moment, Epic can no longer update games on the iOS platform. Users who managed to download the developer’s games before the conflict between the companies began can still log in to them.
