Leading companiesThere are enough events, if we talk about the top of the total global downloads of companies.

The first point is, of course, the loss of King’s next position. Now EA is ahead of it in terms of downloads. A trend? We don’t think. At least until King lost its place in the box office top. The second point, namely, the arrival of LINE and Tencent in the Top 10, is more alarming. But here you should definitely say thank you to Taiwan and China. Further, it seems to us, these companies in the chart will only grow. The third moment is the appearance of Zynga in the chart due to the release of a new version of Words With Friends. If we talk about the Top box office companies, there are no special changes, not counting the growth of EA (including thanks to the release of FIFA 15 Ultimate Team).

Hits of OctoberThe first place is consistently for Candy Crush Saga (I wonder if Soda will replace it by the end of November-December?).

Almost three years after the release, Subway Surfers is also on the chart, and in a well-deserved second place (in fact, Kiloo has the main asset today, although not the only one). Cars: Fast as Lightning from Gameloft is the third place, which can be explained not only by traffic, but also by the use of popular IP. But on the fourth, which is not typical for games of this genre – Clash of Clans. We are even afraid to imagine what amounts Finns spend trying to reach the maximum audience. The fifth place in downloads in October was taken by the already mentioned FIFA 15 Ultimate Team, which was released against the background of the release of the console game of the same name.

By the way, if you look at the final tops on the platforms, the situation is somewhat different. For example, the October hit for iOS downloads was Angry Birds Transformers. FIFA 15 is already in second place, and Subway Surfers are not visible at all. Also, by the way, there is New Words With Friends.

App Annie itself notes an aggressive presence on the App Store of games “under licenses” in October. In addition to the obvious “Transformers” (and, by the way, the question is already which brand is more famous today – Angry Birds or Hasbro robots?) and Cars, Fruit Ninja jumped into the top, which came out for Halloween in the setting of “Ghostbusters”, which instantly raised it to the tops.

If we talk about the cash top, then, as always, there are no big changes. It is only clear that Supercell has “let go of the Boom Beach”. The game, probably without receiving serious traffic volumes in terms of revenue, continues to slide to the bottom. The first three box office games, in turn, cause some, let’s say, fatigue: the faces are all familiar – Clash of Clans, Puzzle & Dragons and Candy Crush Saga. 

We are sitting, in general, waiting for a new box office hit, which will determine the picture of the market for the next two years (Game of War – Fire Age is not called, everything is clear with it).
