The Internet company Amazon has acquired the gaming backend platform GameSparks, according to the publication Games Industries with reference to The Telegraph.

According to The Telegraph, the deal amounted to “tens of millions of pounds”, with most of the money received by the three founders of GameSparks: CEO Griffin Parry (Griffin Parry), commercial director John Griffin (John Griffin) and technical director Gabriel Page (Gabriel Page).

GameSparks offers ready-made solutions such as multiplayer, matchmaking, data storage, chats and so on to game companies for integration into projects.

GameSparks provided cloud services to a number of major gaming companies, including Square Enix, Ubisoft, TellTale Games, Bandai Namco and Capcom.
