Amazon plans to start selling Kindle Fire HD 7 and 8.9 from next month in more than 170 countries.
Yesterday, the American company announced that now everyone can pre-order. However, we can take our time for now: deliveries will begin only on June 13.
The announcement was expected: Back in April, Amazon announced that their app store would be available in 200 countries. Without launching the Kindle Fire in the respective sales territories, this would not have made sense.
Not everything is completely clear about Russia yet. Our colleagues with Overclockers “failed to simulate ordering a tablet to a Russian postal address.” It is quite possible that the type of distribution of devices on the domestic market will be markedly different from the Western one.
Accordingly, most likely, the company in Russia will have a different pricing policy. As for the pre-order, according to the published figures, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 will cost $ 284, and for the 7-inch version you will have to pay $ 214.
In any case, the Amazon extension is in the hands of mobile developers. Especially for those who create Android apps. Amazon’s new markets are an additional audience and, accordingly, a potential revenue growth.
