Last Friday, Amazon announced the launch of a new analytical service, App Engagement Reports, through which developers will be able to learn more about the lifecycle of their application.

The new service is part of the previously available Mobile App Distribution Portal control panel. The service can be found on the panel in the Reporting tab. With its help, you can find out:

  • The general situation with the application: key data on your game or program
  • Average income: The average earnings of your application per day/month and ARPPU by IAP
  • Retention level: retention for 1-3-7 days and for 1-2-3 weeks
  • Number of active devices: the number of devices active every day (DAD), devices active during the month (MAD) and the ratio of DAD to MAD (Sticky Factor)
  • Sessions: the total number of sessions per day and the average number of sessions per device
  • Installations: number of daily installations and uninstallations

At the start, the reports will be available only to developers of those applications that were published after October 25, 2012. Developers who have not updated their application since then will have to make updates or re-publish it to activate the service.
