Over 30 people were fired from Volition Studio, known for the Saints Row series of games and the new Agents of Mayhem title.

This was reported by Kotaku with reference to three internal sources.

Volition general manager Dan Cermak was among those who left the studio walls.

According to Kotaku, the cuts are due to the fact that the Deep Silver publishing house remained dissatisfied with the weak sales of Agents of Mayhem. Deep Silver bought Volition Studio in 2013 after the bankruptcy of its previous owner, THQ.

Before the cuts, Volition employed about 200 people.
