The release of Stadia turned out to be one of the most disastrous launches in the history of gaming platforms. This is what representatives of the analytical firm DFC Intelligence think.

When we first got to know the Google Stadia streaming service at GDC in March 2019, we didn't know what to think. He didn't impress us, but Google said it had something up its sleeve. Last week, Stadia officially launched and, as we think, it became obvious that the king is naked!
It is also noted that after the failure of the platform, it will be closed and Google will abandon its gaming ambitions.
A detailed analysis of Stadia's problems will take (its developers) some time. As a result, Google will return to the drawing board and disappear from the radars of the gaming industry (...) Like many Google products, the Stadia cloud service will die a quick death.
If this really happens, next year the industry will face a series of high-profile layoffs and the closure of a Montreal-based game studio headed by Jade Raymond. It was assumed that the structure launched in October would create game exclusives for Stadia.
The official launch of Stadia took place on November 19. The gaming press met the service with restraint.
As it turned out, at the start, the platform does not provide all the promised functionality (4K, 60 frames, consistently high quality graphics, the ability to launch games from YouTube).
More critically, a lot of conditions are needed for a high-quality game (stable connection, good Wi-Fi, but even better wired Internet, as well as Google Chromecast Ultra if you want to play on a TV, or Pixel if you want to play on a mobile device).
In addition, many have raised questions about the monetization of the service. To use the service, you need to pay for an expensive monthly subscription, while the games are purchased separately.
