More than 72% of all Android apps are potential violators of the new law on the protection of user data (GDPR), which will enter into force on the territory of the European Union in a few days. This was announced by the creators of the platform for mobile developers SafeDK.

It turned out that 72% of all applications have at least one SDK that has access to users’ personal data. This may be regarded as a violation of GDPR rules.

In 63% of cases, the collectors of users’ personal data are advertising networks integrated into the application.

SafeDK data is based on the analysis of hundreds of thousands of Android applications and more than a thousand SDKs used in the development of mobile programs.

Recall that violation of GDRP threatens companies with fines of up to 20 million. The law will come into force in the EU on May 25 this year.
