Czech independent studio Hyperbolic Magnetism has announced a good start to its VR project Beat Saber. In the first week, sales of the game about chopping multicolored cubes with a lightsaber exceeded $ 50 thousand copies.
The creators themselves describe Beat Saber as “a mashup of Guitar Hero and Fruit Ninja in virtual reality.” The game was released on Steam and Oculus Store on May 1.
“This is crazy!”, — representatives of Hyperbolic Magnetism wrote on Twitter, rejoicing at the successful sales of the title.
In the near future, the studio hopes to double the number of copies of Beat Saber sold.
