The number of people simultaneously playing the free “battle royale” mode of the Fortnite shooter from Epic Games has reached 525 thousand people.

This was reported to the developer on the official Twitter of the project.

The DAU indicator for Fortnite Battle Royale last Sunday, October 8, was a record 3.7 million people in three regions.

Fortnite’s main competitor and the most popular “battle royale” of our time, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds studio Bluehole also updated the record of simultaneous attendance last weekend. The game gathered 1.93 million gamers at once.

Note that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is only available on Steam, while Fortnite Battle Royale has been released on PC and consoles.
