In March of this year, Fortnite was leading in the top views of the Twitch platform by a four-fold margin from its closest competitor. Viewers watched Epic Games’ “battle Royale” streams for 611 million hours.

This is reported by the analytical company SuperData.

In March, viewers spent the same amount of time on Fortnite streams as League of Legends, PUBG, Dota 2 and Hearthstone combined over the same period. Fortnite’s closest competitor, MOBA League of Legends, has accumulated about 160 million hours over the same period.

SuperData CEO Joost Van Dreunen called the popularity of Fortnite on Twitch one of the key reasons for the success of the project.

The Epic Games hit scored such figures in March largely thanks to the popular hip-hop artist Drake, who played Fortnite in the company of video blogger Tyler Blevins. Their match on Twitch was simultaneously watched by 607 thousand people — a record figure in the history of the platform.
