A representative of “Rostelecom” told the newspaper “Kommersant” that the company is interested in creating a Russian gaming console. They are considering its development “as a promising business direction.”

According to Kommersant, they are going to found a company in Russia that will develop a mobile operating system based on Android. The founders will be VK, Yandex, Sberbank and Rostelecom with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

There was information that Rostelecom is preparing to acquire GFN.ru — the Russian version of the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service.
