French publisher Gameloft reported on the success. The company said that to date, the total downloads of Asphalt series games have reached one billion. It took the racing franchise about 17 years to do this.

At the end of April, the gaming company Gameloft announced the release of the Asphalt Nitro mobile title. Almost the only detail about the game was its weight – 15 MV.

Asphalt Overdrive from Gameloft will be released on Thursday. The game will be the ninth in the series.
