The US mobile market is still bipolar, according to comScore analysts. Samsung and Apple are confidently displacing other smartphone manufacturers.

The Steve Jobs platform managed to reverse the aggressive growth of Android in the US market. According to Strategy Analytics, compared to the results for the second quarter of last year, Google lost more than 4% of the market. 

Analysts from comScore shared the latest data on the American market of mobile phones, smartphones and operating systems. It turned out that Apple is doing the best right now, but Android may soon have to tighten its belt. 

The share of Android in the American smartphone market has grown to 49% in the first quarter of 2012, according to experts of the advertising company Millennial Media. So Google’s operating system continues to be the “king of the mountain”; also in the US, 15 of the top 20 mobile devices run on Android 

Android holds a dominant position in the mobile systems market thanks to Samsung’s good sales; Windows Phone has doubled its share in the American and European markets in a year.
