Last week, the Russian publisher Playcore announced the launch of a competition for the best mobile game project. The winners will receive initial traffic to any geo, as well as full-format marketing assistance.

There are no specific conditions, but special attention will be paid to hyper-casual and midcore projects. At the same time, according to the organizers, the genre or niche of the game will not become a selection criterion.

When choosing winners in Playcore, they will primarily start from the following points:

  • relevance for the market (for example, the presence of a large number of similar projects will be regarded as a minus, since it will say that such a project is not relevant for the market, it is saturated with them, while support for a wide range of platforms and all modern OS versions, on the contrary, will be a plus);
  • compliance with current trends (that is, the project should use common techniques in user retention, have a well-developed meta);
  • uniqueness for the genre, innovation in gameplay (clones of the popular match-3 will not be considered, the game should have “its own face” or at least something that distinguishes it from others);
  • suitability for scaling (the game should be designed for a wide audience).

According to the results of the competition, three winners will be selected:

  • the awards for the first place include: selection of the optimal way of promotion and monetization for the project, creation of a plan for game improvements, preparation of ASO and creatives, assistance in working with influencers, a starting budget for traffic of at least $ 5000;
  • the second and third place winners will be allocated the same budget for traffic, but the volume of consultations/project management will be somewhat less.

Applications for the contest will be accepted until October 21. The winners will be announced on November 13.

Playcore is a young Russian publisher of mobile games, officially launched in July 2020. Previously, its founders were engaged in traffic arbitration, among other things. One of their key projects is the performance agency Adsbalance.
