Another analytics tool has been activated. It’s called SocialPeta. The service allows you to monitor the advertising activity of competitors in the mobile market. Fiona Long, one of the project managers, tells us more about it.
Fiona Long — SocialPeta
SocialPeta has three main functions:
- collecting information about which ads are used by other companies — Ad Intelligence;
- analysis of other people’s advertising campaigns — Ad Analysis;
- estimation of the cost of the user’s future advertising campaigns Cost Intelligence.
Let’s take a closer look at each of the functions.
Ad Intelligence
As part of this functionality, SocialPeta aggregates a wide range of data, including advertising creatives, information about campaigns and advertisers, and much more. It is assumed that this can help prepare your own campaign and avoid other people’s mistakes.
Just below is the top 10 advertiser games ranked by the number of creatives that worked at the same time. It shows that in terms of impressions, midcore and hardcore games are becoming more and more important. Half of the top is behind them. The second half of the list falls on hypercausal titles. A year earlier, they accounted for three positions more.
This top was just formed with the help of Ad Intelligence. And it shows not only games, but also important information about their advertising campaigns: the main sources of traffic, as well as the number of creatives shown without duplicates.
Ad Analysis
The analysis of other people’s advertising campaigns allows you to evaluate third-party advertising strategies, as well as to study their creatives in detail (up to the characteristics). Moreover, they can even be downloaded.
Just above is a screenshot of the Ad Analysis functionality from SocialPeta. It shows that the service displays the number of impressions, its popularity and duration for a specific creative. When clicking on the Details button, the user will also see the demographic data of the banner.
Cost Intelligence
This SocialPeta functionality helps to determine the approximate cost of advertising in the framework of a future Facebook campaign. We are talking about evaluating CPC, CTR and CPM by a pool of specified parameters (one of four publishers, genre, required action, platform, and so on).
The service gives not only a specific cost, but also its dynamics in recent years. Plus, there is a separate dashboard with segmentation of the cost of the proposed advertising by region (the price dynamics here is also displayed for each country).

On October 28, Social Peta will perform at WN Fall 2020 with the report “Mobile Games 2020 Insights into Global Media Buying and Creative Advertising“. She will tell about global trends in the mobile advertising market, about the top advertisers over the last quarter and will touch on the story around Facebook Networks.
Accordingly, you can also ask a representative of the company about the features of the service itself.
