A trial is planned between the giants of the industry. Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against Apple and Google. The reason for the quarrel was the game released by the App Store and Google Play — allegedly plagiarism from Rainbow Six: Siege.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow: Six Siege
We are talking about Area F2 of the Chinese developer Ejoy.
The latter belongs to Alibaba, writes Bloomberg. The French publisher intends to prove that the mobile game is “almost identical” to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow: Six Siege for PC and consoles.
“Almost every aspect of Area F2 is copied from Rainbow: Six Siege — from the operative selection screen to the screen with the final score table and also everything in between,” Ubisoft writes.
According to the publisher, he notified Google and Apple in advance of copyright infringement. However, the Chinese title is still distributed in mobile stores.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Los Angeles.
It is unknown exactly what kind of compensation Ubisoft is demanding from the other two digital giants. Whether he brought charges against Alibaba and Ejoy is also not said.
The developer has been owned by Alibaba since 2017. The Area F2 game was released on mobile last month.
