As part of a major Windows 10 update, Microsoft will introduce a number of new features aimed at gamers: a gaming section in the settings, streaming from the system, a game panel and a game mode that increases the performance of games.
In the spring of 2017, Windows 10 will receive the Creators Update. Part of the update will be:
- Game bar (context menu that pops up on top of the game when a certain combination is pressed and allows you to take a screenshot, start streaming, turn on the microphone, and so on);
- built-in Beam streaming (apparently, you will no longer need to mess with third-party streaming solutions);
- Game mode (increases performance in games by transferring resources from background programs to them);
- game section in Windows settings (will be responsible for the new functionality).
Participants of the insider program will receive the gaming functionality of the future update this week. Part of the new functionality (streams) will also be available to Xbox owners from the same program. The rest will have to wait for spring.
