Odnoklassniki has launched a new program to support mobile game developers. It concerns those who make HTML5 projects. The essence of the program is the refusal of the social network from its share of the game’s revenue in the first three months after the release of the title.
Now the developer receives half of each user transaction on Odnoklassniki. This situation persists. And the developer will give the same 50% to the site after the specified period.
Those projects that have been presented on the site for a long time will not be affected by the innovation in any way.
The management of the social network does not hide that it hopes to attract more projects to the platform with the help of the initiative. It is confident that the program will interest the authors of “high-quality mobile games with advanced graphics.”
So she’s struggling with a big problem. According to the company, “after migrating to mobile platforms, the audience stops playing.” This is explained by the lack of HTML5 projects. So far there are only a few dozen of them.
Recall that there are two ways to play mobile HTML5 projects on Odnoklassniki now. The first one is through the browser by going to m.ok.ru . The second is through the mobile application of the social network.
The announcement of the program also noted that today the monthly mobile gaming audience of Odnoklassniki is 4 million. Half is on Android, the second half is on the mobile web.
Distribution of the playing audience of Odnoklassniki by platforms
The total mobile audience of the social network today is 51 million (as in the case of games — most of the audience enters the social network from Android and browsers).
