The Facebook social network allowed users to broadcast from laptops and desktop PCs.

Facebook users got the opportunity to stream videos from mobile devices a year ago. But PC broadcasts expand the possibilities of this option. For example, it can be used for streaming games. This means that Facebook can become a competitor to Twitch, the main platform for game broadcasts.

In addition to gamers, streams will be useful for video bloggers, authors of instructions, and so on.

Facebook provides users with a set of tools for broadcasts — you can save screenshots, insert graphics, titles into the stream, switch between cameras.

In early March, game broadcasts were launched on the social platform Twitter. Shortly after, Twitch gave its users the opportunity to exchange short messages and GIFs in the manner of Twitter and Facebook feeds.
