Valve has added digital gift certificates with a fixed face value to the Steam game store. They can be used to replenish the Steam wallet of another user of the platform.
In the Russian version of Steam, gift cards are available in denominations of 150, 300, 750, 1500 and 3000 rubles. When sending a certificate to a user from another country, the money is automatically converted into the currency of that state.
You can pay for the certificate with a credit card, PayPal transfer and even bitcoins. At the same time, the user cannot purchase it with the money of his Steam account.
The gift card funds can be spent on games, game items or on the Steam Trading Platform.
Gift cards can only be given to Steam users from your friends list.
The new feature appeared on Steam on the eve of the autumn annual sales, timed to coincide with Black Friday and winter holidays.
