6 months have passed since the release of the ARKit augmented reality application platform for iOS. During this time, ARKit-enabled programs have been downloaded more than 13 million times, according to the Sensor Tower analytical company.
Among AR applications for Apple mobile devices, games predictably lead the way – they accounted for 47% of all downloads.
Mobile titles took 7 out of 10 positions of the highest—grossing applications on ARKit, and three of them — AR Dragon, The Machines and Zombie Gunship Revenant AR – are in the top five.
