Apple has excluded the App Store from the iTunes media player for PC and Mac platforms in the latest update of the program.
Installing the update completely removes the App Store from iTunes and stops syncing applications between the computer and the mobile device when connected.
In addition, users will no longer be able to download apps and books via iTunes on Mac and PC. Music, movies, TV series, audiobooks and podcasts will remain available for download.
