Apple has added new tracking metrics to App Analytics, an analytics service for developers. Among other things, it has the ability to find out the number of all downloads of the application, including repeated ones.

Apple announced this in its blog for developers.

What App Analytics began to show:

  • downloads: total and repeated;
  • app revenue net of App Store commission and taxes;
  • number of pre-orders;
  • data for different versions of applications: old and updated.

All new metrics can be segmented by region, source, and device.

Separately, Apple indicated that as of September 20, 2021, all indicators that relate to app sales take into account data from Apple School Manager and Apple Business Manager.

Recall that App Analytics was launched in 2015. The service allows iOS developers to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and track key application metrics. You can learn more about the service here.
