Google is launching a test version of advertising on Google Play. It will allow developers to promote their proposals directly through the store. This is reported in the official blog of the company.
The campaign will be tested on a limited number of users. They will see ads from the test development team. Exactly how the test group will be selected is not yet reported, but it is known that those developers who have previously paid Google for search advertising will take part in the campaign.
Promotional offers will be issued for a specific search query – similar to how it happens when searching on Google. The applications participating in the campaign will be in the top of the results. Each will be marked with a small “advertising” button, which will be located immediately under the name of the application.
According to Google management, the campaign is aimed at improving the visibility of new games and applications, as well as improving the quality of search.
