Zynga has announced that it will be the publisher of the Solstice Arena mobile MOBA game from the former A Bit Lucky.
Fashion is fickle. What is trending now, what genre, what setting, what direction? Answering each of these questions is not as easy as it seems, because there are many variables.
Among them: platform, audience, country, even the category and type of the desired top matters. Of course, there are also stream phenomena. Jeffrey Grubb with Venture Beat refers MOBA games to the latter. They say they are now “on the wave”, so there is nothing surprising in Zynga’s desire to make money on them.
“Our main task is to take the gameplay that we love so much and transform it in such a way that it suits everyone – both hardcore fans and casual players,” Solstice Arena’s official website says.
Exactly how the DOTA and League of Legends mechanics will be transformed in the Zynga project is clear only in general terms.
Firstly, the maximum number of the team is three heroes. Secondly, most likely, a small map, because the developers promise a session duration of no more than 10 minutes. Thirdly, the experience of the heroes, as far as can be understood from preliminary information, will not be reset after each fight.
The monetization of the game, in turn, is not much different from the one that is present in DOTA and League of Legends: honest free-to-play For money, you can purchase only external “attributes” that do not affect the gameplay.
The developers promise that very soon it will be possible to play beta on iOS. Here you can sign up.
