In the week from July 28 to August 5, four newcomers made it to the top 10 paid games on Steam. Some of them are quite unexpected.
Grounded 2
The first surprise is right at the top. Grounded 2 from Obsidian Entertainment and Eidos-Montréal is selling like hotcakes. This cooperative sandbox has outsold Battlefield 6 in weekly sales, even though pre-orders for Battlefield 6 began on July 31.
The second surprise is the excellent debut of Titan Quest II. Despite being in early access and lacking content, the project performed excellently, climbing to fourth place in sales among premium titles. As we reported earlier today, the game sold 300,000 copies in the first 72 hours.
The third chart surprise is the appearance of the hobbit life simulator Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game. The project ranks 9th in sales among paid games. This is the first time we remember a cozy title reaching such a high position.
