Game outsourcer Keywords Studios has agreed to become part of the investment firm EQT Group. It will join EQT Group's subsidiary, called Bidco.

Under the terms of the deal, EQT Group will pay £24.5 ($31.1) per Keywords Studios share. This will result in the outsourcer being valued at £2.1 billion ($2.67 billion).

Previously, EQT Group planned to pay more—£25.5 ($32.4) per share, but lowered their offer amid issues within the gaming industry.

It is worth recalling that Keywords Studios was founded in 1998. Among its clients are Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Supercell, Epic Games, and many other major companies. It has contributed to games like Call of Duty, Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy, Fortnite, Clash of Clans, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
