In November 2022, Rollic Games, a subsidiary of Take-Two, announced the purchase of the German developer and publisher of mobile games Popcore Games. It became known that the takeover cost $199.2 million or €180 million.

Take-Two disclosed the figure in a report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to GamesWirtschaft, the purchase of Popcore Games has become one of the biggest deals in the German gaming industry. Along with it, the top deals include agreements between Stillfront Group and Goodgame Studios (€270 million), MTG and InnoGames (51% stake for €172.6 million), Ubisoft and Kolibri Games (€160 million), as well as Playtika and Wooga (rumored to be about €88 million).

Popcore Games specializes in hyper-casual titles. She has worked on Parking Jam 3D, Pull the Pin, Clash of Blocks! and dozens of other games.
