Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin claims that the appearance of RuStore has protected mobile applications from sanctions against Russia. He shared this opinion at a meeting with the finalists of the youth entrepreneurship development program “I’m in Business”.
“RuStore is an online store that allows everyone to buy applications, and, of course, it is very important that now it is ours, import—substituted, and sanctions will not cause damage, including applications,” Mishustin said.
RuStore was released in February 2023 after nine months of beta testing. As of March 31, there were 5,700 applications from 4 thousand developers in the store catalog. Note that in November 2022, RuStore entered the list of mandatory software for pre-installation on smartphones sold in Russia.
