Microsoft reported for the third quarter of fiscal 2023, which ended on March 31. According to a number of indicators, it became a record for the gaming division.
Compared to last year, the revenue of the gaming division fell by 4%. It amounted to $3.6 billion.
Revenue from console sales fell by 30%. At the same time, revenue from sales of content and services increased by 3%.
The quarterly revenue from the Game Pass subscription has come close to the $1 billion mark.
In a conversation with investors, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the number of monthly active Xbox users, as well as the number of “monthly active devices”, has increased to a record level.
Over 500 million unique users have played games from Microsoft’s internal studios for the entire time of their existence.
