Microsoft has begun testing a new AI chatbot as a support assistant for Xbox.

The company is confident that the virtual assistant will help players solve common issues related to the platform's performance more quickly and efficiently.

Now, players can ask voice or text questions in natural language, and the AI assistant will fetch answers from the Xbox support knowledge base.

However, for cases requiring more detailed explanations, live specialist assistance will still be necessary.

Currently, the feature is only available to English-speaking members of the Xbox Insider program in the U.S. There is no information yet on when Xbox AI will be available to all users.

According to The Verge, this is just the first step towards more extensive integration of artificial intelligence within the Xbox ecosystem. Insiders have reported to the publication about Microsoft's plans to use AI in creating game content, as well as for moderation and providing tips to players during gameplay.
