In the German version of Steam, games without an age rating have stopped being displayed for users.
On November 15, Steam hid from German gamers all games that have not received the appropriate label from the local ratings agency USK or have not passed the internal Valve procedure.
This is due to a new German law requiring all games to have an age rating. This applies to both future and already released titles. Otherwise, they will be unavailable for sale in Germany.

Because of this, German Reddit users are concerned about the fate of old games released many years ago. They also question how the situation will be handled with projects whose development studios or publishers have closed down.
As of October 15, Valve reported that developers of about 23,000 games had not provided the necessary data or filled out the form to obtain a rating.
