India is the fastest growing gaming market in Asia in terms of both revenue and the number of gamers. The analytical company Niko Partners predicts that in 2027 there will be 343% more gamers in the country than in 2017.
According to analysts’ estimates, there were 144.9 million gamers in India in 2017. By the end of 2023, there will be 444.4 million, and by the end of 2027 – 641.2 million.
Now 96.8% of Indian gamers play on mobile devices.
A little less than a third of Indian gamers spend money on games — 31%. It is expected that in 2023 ARPPU (the amount that one paying user will spend on average) will be $6.38.
In 2023, the revenue of the Indian gaming market will grow by 21% compared to last year, reaching $868 million. In 2027, analysts predict, it will increase to $ 1.58 billion.
