Niko Partners analysts have published a forecast for the gaming markets in Asia and the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). According to their estimates, the total revenue of these markets will increase at an annual growth rate of 2.5% in the coming years.

  • Niko Partners predicts that in 2024, residents of Asia and MENA will spend $87.6 billion on games. That is $2.1 billion more than in 2023.
  • China will have the highest spending, accounting for 56.9% of the revenue.
  • By 2028, the market revenue is expected to grow to $97.1 billion.
  • The number of gamers will also increase. If 1.6 billion residents of Asia and MENA played video games in 2023, that number will rise to 1.7 billion in 2024. By 2028, there will be 2 billion gamers.
  • In 2023, 93.7% of gamers from these countries played on mobile devices, 35.1% also played on PC, and 4.9% played on consoles.
