Yesterday, at the GDC 2013 conference, the company Wargaming.net announced a new project – mobile MMO World of Tanks Blitz for smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android.
According to the developers, the game will combine the best features of the original “World of Tanks” and the advantages of mobile products: ease of operation and the ability to play from anywhere with Internet access.
Setting – tank battles of the middle of the XX century. Players will have access to equipment manufactured in three countries: the USSR, Germany, and the USA. It is assumed that there are three classes of combat vehicles – medium tanks, heavy tanks and tank destroyers. Each of the classes will naturally have their own unique characteristics and the nature of combat.
As you might guess, the project will work according to the free-to-play model. By the way, owners of both iOS and Android devices will be able to participate in battles taking place in the 7×7 format at the same time. There is no information about the expected release date yet, because the game is at the initial stage of development.
