The classics are coming back. EA has announced that this winter, the cult series of the late 90s Dungeon Keeper will be relaunched on iOS and Android.

The original Dungeon Keeper was an economic strategy in which the user had to cut down a dungeon, equip rooms for monsters in it, taking into account their criminal and not only inclinations (for example, warlocks worked better in a quiet corner closer to the library). Periodically, the forces of good visited the “kingdom of evil”, from which it was necessary to fight off with the available forces.

The continuation, as far as one can understand, conceptually did not go far from the progenitor. As in the original games, in the mobile Dungeon Keeper, which is being developed by Mythic, which recently distinguished itself with a worthy Ultima Forever, the player will create a dungeon for his minions.

Users will be able to:

  • Build dungeons;
  • Equip them for monsters;
  • Set traps;
  • Attack the mazes of other players.

EA itself calls the new game a mix of strategic builder and tower defense, but for some reason Clash of Clans comes to mind.
