Paying players prefer not to make very large payments at a time.
Today, in mobile games, it is not uncommon to see an IAP of $50-$100. They are designed for “whales”, actively and a lot of paying players in the project.
Representatives of the marketing platform DeltaDNA, in turn, believe that “whales” do not like to pay such amounts in the game at once. According to their data, the usual payment of such paying players is $20. Moreover, 54% of “whales” do not make a transaction more than $ 50.
However, the last percentage varies depending on which “whales” we are talking about. The fact is that DeltaDNA divided the latter, based on the size of the LTV, into six groups.
A whale, according to analysts, is anyone who has left more than $100 in shareware games (from July 2015 to, most likely, March 2016). Analysts refer to mega-whales as people who have paid more than $1,000 in games. This is a very small group – 0.1% of paying players (paying players, recall, make up 0.1% of all players).
And just among the latter, the percentage of those who did not pay more than $ 50 at a time is only 20%.
