South Korean mobile developer and publisher Com2uS earned $112.8 million in Q3 2017. The company’s main source of revenue remained the Summoners War buttler, as well as MLB 9 Innings 17 and Golf Star sports games.
In general, the quarter ended successfully — revenues increased by 6.4% compared to the previous quarter, and net profit increased by 28.8% to $35.7 million.
Note that Com2uS games are much more popular in the West than in South Korea — in the last quarter, revenues outside the country amounted to $98.9 million (about 88%) of the total amount.
More than half of the company’s foreign revenues were generated by players from the USA and Europe — thanks to them, Com2uS earned $60.3 million.
In the new quarter, Com2uS plans to expand the Summoners War franchise with a new multiplayer game and release a number of titles, including a VR version of the Ace Fishing fishing simulator.
