2K Games talked about the sales of Borderlands 3, which brought the revenue of the entire series to the amount of one billion dollars.
In the first five days of sales, the new Gearbox studio game sold 5 million copies. This is 50% more than Borderlands 2 was sold over the same period.
Moreover, this is a record starting figure among all the publisher’s games 2K Games. Previously, none of her titles diverged at such a speed at the start of sales.
High sales brought the total revenue of the entire series Borderlands to the $1 billion mark. This is the second title in the history of 2K Games that managed to overcome this threshold (the first is NBA 2K).
As for the details of Borderlands 3 sales, 70% of the copies sold were for digital distribution. The publisher especially highlights sales on PC, where the game is distributed through the Epic Games Store.
