Poles from CD PROJEKT Group reported for the first quarter of 2017. From January to March, the authors of The Witcher earned $26.55 million (99.30 million zloty). The amount earned is 14% more than a year earlier for the same quarter.
Most of the revenue – $20 million (70 million zloty) – came from the developer studio – an increase of 10%: its revenue from The Witcher 3 is growing from year to year.
“In the first quarter of 2017, we sold not only more copies of The Witcher 3 than a year earlier, but also earned more from the game,” the press release notes.
Digital Game Store GOG.com earned a more modest figure in the first quarter – $8.8 million (33 million zlotys) – an increase of 63%.
CD PROJEKT Group spent $4.3 million (16 million zloty) on the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game in January-March.
